I-86 conditions in NYS - any pavement improvements?

I-86 is still rough from exit 17 (Steamburg, NY) to exit 24 (Allegany, NY). New York State has finally started making repairs to the western section this season and plans to finish the stretch by the end of the 2014 construction season. No easy way to bypass the section from Exit 17 to exit 20 (Seneca Allegany Casino). From exit 20 to exit 24, NY 417 is a good 2-lane road that is smooth.
