I-95 toll road in Maine questions

We are coming from Gettysburg, PA and heading to Bar Harbor, ME. I just found out that I95 is a toll road in Maine, which is fine.

My questions are: Near Portland, ME do you take I95 or I295 North? Are they both toll roads? Which would be the better route?

Thanks in advance :)

The Maine Turnpike used to go up 295 and they changed the signage and the exit numpers about 10 years ago. I think it's about $7 or $8 more with a truck and TT to stay on the pike but the road is better and 70 MPH speed limit some of the way.

Sorry, but that is rather confusing. So... Near Portland, ME do you take I95 or I295 North? Are they both toll roads? Which would be the better route?
