I learned to handle roundabouts during a 2 week business trip to England. And those go in the wrong direction ! ??
We have a few in the next county. I am always cautious because I know not everyone is familiar with them.
The first year they were in use, there was actually more accidents, but they were far less severe (previously "red light runners" cause much more severe accidents).
A friend was in a fender bender on a roundabout. He clearly had the right of way and the other person actually was waiting at a Yield sign at the entrance to the roundabout. Her statement was "I let a bunch of cars go buy so I thought it was my turn".
