Just got back from a trip through Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana and stopping in Dallas. Louisiana has vastly improved in my opinion since the last time I went through. first 10-15 miles is still rough.. Shreveport itself is rough. I used the 220 Bypass going too Texas, but stayed on 20 through Shreveport on the way back, just to see. Shreveport still sucks, so use the bypass. Other than that, it's not bad at all.
There is about 5 miles of construction going past Minden, but nothing else. Everything's good.
Mississippi not bad.. Alabama decent enough. Texas okay too. I actually thought West Texas for the most part was the worse of them all (other than through Shreveport itself).
Overall, not nearly as bad as I anticipated. It had been a number of years since I traveled down I20.
