thanks for the heads up on 72. We were thru there 5 weeks ago headed to Desoto SP and they had a gazillion orange barrels out over the mountain but no work started. We went back home thru Guntersville to avoid Huntsville/I565 rush hour and that wasn't a bad drive.
For the NC trip we'll top off at Big Daddy's south of Bridgeport. I'll see what the traffic looks like thru chatta on my phone app, which way the wind is blowing, the phase of the moon, and how lucky I feel, and make a decision. I just might try this Signal Mtn option.
