Now I'm hearing that I70 is to be avoided like the plague. Apparently, the interstate between Indianapolis and Columbus is especially rough. Any thoughts? Thanks.
If you're willing to split the difference and time/speed is not a major factor, consider picking up US 36 in Hannibal MO (from I-72) and taking it all the way across MO and KS. It's a good road, far less traffic than the 2 interstates, towns are spread out every 30-40 miles and aren't really a big slow down -- we ain't talking big cities! In NW Kansas you can head up and grab US 34 and take that into NE Colorado, will take take you right over to I-25 then head north to where ever your destination is in SE Wyoming.
