I80 and I70
Will be leaving for southeast WY in two weeks from Central Jersey. We had been planning to take the "southerly" route (I70) because I was on I80 two winters ago and it was a mess. Now I'm hearing th...

OK folks, I'd like to recap.
I70 from PA all the way out to Columbus, OH. In Columbus, take I71 into Cincinatti. From there, take I74 into Indianapolis. From there, take my chances with I70 into St. Louis and then west to Kansas City. We'll pick up I29 in K.C. and run up to I80 for the final stretch into Laramie.
How does that sound as a better alternative to taking I80 all the way from the east coast?
If you want to go to St. Louis and Kansas City, consider taking I-68 to I-79 to I-64 to St. Louis instead of staying on I-70 where it turns North to join the PA Turnpike through the mountains of central PA.
Wow, tt, I never even considered that route. Looks very, very interesting. Do you have personal experience taking that route? And yes, the DW wants to stop in St. Louis to see a friend.
