I95 going to Florida

Just like Chuck said! I have tried them all but this route skips all real big cities and mountains. And no tolls. But since I go further north to Maine I use 87 (tolls) north to 90 and then 91 to Brattleboro before turning east to NH and Me.

we came up 95 to rt17 to I-66 to I-81 as Bill said..no Dc...then 78 to 22 to 33 to 80 to 209 to 84...great route..Chuck

NO Problems!

Did NJ to Port St Lucie just before T'giving and then back. Not a care in the world. 95 was fine from Washington DC all the way down. There is some road work on a couple of bridges and overpasses in Georgia and northern Florida but NO stoppages or anything. Jax has some construction in the southern part of town, but on the southbound leg we just buzzed right through it at noon on a Tuesday. Plus, they're working on a short stretch of NORTHBOUND I-95 just north of Vero Beach but still manage to have two lanes going in both directions.

Coming home, I took the eastern I-295 by-pass around Jax for the first time ever, and it was fine. Neat new bridge over the river.

All in all, I-95 has probably never been in better shape between Wilmington DE and Palm Beach. South Carolina was a little rumbley in spots, but not really any worse than normal.

around Port St Lucie......get off 95 and take the florida tpke....buy sunn pass at rest area...much better ride....

Thanks CT ... We live 6 miles off route 95 right near the George Washington Bridge, so for us it will be 1,300 miles on route 95, then onto route 1 and onto the Keys! Me and 6 other guys...cant wait for January 9th!
