A few years back my brother and I took my truck camper from Prince Rupert to Skagway on the Alaska Marine Highway. Wow! What a great way to see SE Alaska.
A little work with the ferry schedule and we only traveled during the day spent every night in ports along the way in the camper.
Yes taking the TC was expensive but having a place to stay in each port was great.
Oh yes my camper was under 21 feet long and so traveled for the same fare as a car. If you have a place to stay and the time you can wait for a ferry space in the ports along the way. Spending a few days or so in a places like Petersburg could be fun.
