Interstate Deteriation - is it just me?
I-70 (between Pittsburgh area and Illinois then 39 North to Madison have many areas of deep potholes and wheel bangers. Are others experiencing these too on our interstates? Sure would be nice.if....

The Federal gas tax started out at 1 cent/gal in the 1930s (as part of a big Hoover attempt to balance the budget), increased to 4cents in the Interstate build era, and 18.4 in 1993. The last 4 cent increase was supposed to go to deficit reduction, but that diversion only lasted to 1997.
