We all share the same thoughts. Oregon State Parks are the best in the country. Some are first come first serve and the thoughts about reserving are well placed. No one has mentioned taking a sand buggy ride at Florence. One of the best (and thrilling) ways to see the giant sand dunes area. I might mention that if you have a service connected disability recognized by the VA, you can apply for an Oregon State Park permit which gives you 10 days per month free camping at any Oregon State Park. I always plan my trips from California to match back to back months so I usually get 20 days (4 five days stops).
