Is 285 East the preferred route around Atlanta?

We will be heading south on I-75 around noon on a Monday in Mid January. Wondering if I-285 East is the preferred route. We will be pulling a 5R through this area for the first time so we want to fi...

That's the way we have traveled previously with a car and TC, but I was told multi axle vehicles were not allowed to go through downtown?


If is not allowed no one told us. We have made many trips straight through with our TT and have never seen a sign indicating that.

One other note: Avoid rush hours.
