I found there are three layers of boost, and one of buck. From the factory they are at 110 volts, 100 volts and 90 volts. So far I've never used more than the first 2 layers.
I love my Sola 4000. I tweaked the boost cut in voltage up to 113 which on the first layer of boost gives me 123 volts (unloaded). It cuts in fast when the air conditioner starts. I wish I had not bothered with the easy start on the roof air.
I chose to add two standard 110 volt outlets--one on the input side so I can easily monitor supply voltage. That input side allows me to use a surge suppressor in parallel before the Sola. I also added a 30 amp female plug. On the input side I hard wired a six foot cord with a male 30 amp plug.
The Sola does not "play well" with the load support feature on the Magnum inverter/charger. If I have selected that option on the Magnum remote, as soon as I add the Sola the Magnun turns on the load support.
