- Dannyabear1ExplorerI would go thru Port Gibson just because it is a beautiful old town; its like going back to the 50s
- coolmom42Explorer IIDefinitely go through Port Gibson. Find FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH. Legend has it that Grant was afraid to destroy the church because of the hand pointing to the heavens.
- RL_MillerExplorerThanks guys I take it there is no problem with a big rig in Port Gibson.

We did not have a problem finding a place to park on a side street, with a truck & 26' trailer. Also saw some church parking lots empty that would probably have worked. - Spearfisherman7ExplorerI prefer 426 for the senic views. Unless tour really into old churches. Grand gulf is our favorite cg.
- TxGearheadExplorer IIRiver View RV Park in Vidalia is a good back up if you need something other than Grand Gulf. Very interesting...lot's of history around Natchez.
- concord_05ExplorerSpent a week at Grand Gulf in March. Most of the time we were the only camper in the upper GC. Went in and out 462 when we were driving MH but there is not much difference between the two routes. The staff at the park were super friendly. This park can fill up with workers from the nuclear plant. Was a down time when we were there.
