You are coming right as everyone are taking and have booked their One-two weeks August vacation time!
FWIW: We live just south of Calgary and spend an immense amount of time RVing in the Rockies and the Foothills. We tend to boondock rather than organized CG's "where possible". "where possible being the ultimate words here. Check out Kananaski's Country, and Peter Lougheed and some of the other PP's just south of Canmore. Spray Lakes = beautiful area. Bragg Creek, Cochrane a little further East and SE from Banff & Canmore. We also like to Boondoock at the Columbia Icefields (Brewsters) area when heading up through to Jasper. Nothing much available close to Jasper
