Jasper and Banff in three weeks without reservations

We've been busy traveling the PNW for the past two months and have failed to make reservations for Jasper and Banff. We have no idea where to go or what to do about overnight stops. Can any of you...

Well in advance is early January when the booking site opens up. I was a week late this year and had to re-jig my plans as the sites I wanted were full.
