Jasper/Banff, late August/Early Sept Weather-Decision Made

We just came back from Banff, Calgary, Edmonton, Red Deer and other places in that area of Alberta. We were there for the last few days of August, and first few days of September (left before Labour Day weekend to avoid the traffic) The weather was fine, a little smokey for the first few days until a front moved in and the wind and rain pretty much cleared things up. We had a good time, and you will have no problems going in September, just take a jacket for the cooler days.
