Jasper/Banff, late August/Early Sept Weather-Decision Made

So it's been 25 years or so since I went to Banff and Jasper. I remember hot weather at the beginning of our trip and snow when we left just after Labor Day. Weather.com gives some info but I'd rath...

It can snow any time. I recall an all day snowfall on July 4 at Lake
Louise & several inches well outside the mountains on an August 2. It doesn't happen often enough to make it a concern.
If you do encounter a cool period in Sept it can take longer to warm up due to the shorter days. Good weather & it can be beautiful.
