Seems like every week a Canadian is murdered down there.
Please refer us to one validated substantiate factual source of any such information. We have been traveling in Mexico for over 40 years and are unaware of this. We do read daily stories of people killed in US and Canada. In Mexico it is almost 100% criminals killing criminals - rarely is any kind of tourist involved in crime. Compared with many other areas we find Mexico to be relatively safe. Please provide your sources for claimed facts you quote.
There was an article in the sun last year kinda keeping track of this kinda thing. The number was something like 28 in 15 years. In that time about 24 million Canadians visited Mexico. Oh, and of that number 7 were previously convicted druggies in Canada. It's always sad when someone dies from violence but let's not exaggerate too much. Nothing wrong with not travelling somewhere because you are not comfortable. Just don't make up numbers that hurt the livelihood of others. Just sayin.
