So you advocate for the use of lethal force? That certainly has worked out well in USA, with a mere 30,000 gunshot deaths per year. (22,000 self inflicted, mostly by accident.)
The OP drove into an ambush. He did exactly the right thing. And then you call him a wus? He is alive--and I doubt you would be a survivor if you had been there with all your flashy "protective" hardware.
