If as in this instance my car is stolen in an armed robbery. I like that I can call and honest law enforce will come to assist me. I do not feel secure in a situation that has me driving around for hours or days trying to report the crime and being sure the person I am reporting the crime to will not be as big or bigger crook than the person that robbed me. It not the level of crime as it is the security of knowing someone is there to help you rather than further victimize you. Yes there are good cops in Mexico. Which ones are they? No way of telling. Therefore it's a roll of the dice that you will receive any legitimate help or protection.
