Just a little road trip....

Leaving this morning..Sunday...for a 5 day drive. Off east on the Crowsnest, as far as Castlegar, turn north up the west side of the Rockies...into Revelstoke, on to Salmon Arm and hoe on Thursday. Just want to shake out the cobwebs a bit and I have a couple cftar brew places to investigate.

Due to the pandemic, we follow very strict procedures..in the brix n stix home and the wheeled one. Masks on when in any public spaces, we have two washing stations, so upon entry, washy hands. We do not socialize..I can see the eye brows at mention of a craft house. I cannot speak for anywhere else, but in BC these are closely regulated. Names and number at the door, wait till assigned a cleaned space, staff are always masked. Customer is masked until seated...and before leaving the table.

So...looking forward to just being on the road for a few days.

You could park overnight at the boat launch at Syringa Creek PP. during the day there are people walking dogs etc at the boat launch and at 1/2 km farther up the road at the campground, however by late afternoon, there won’t be a sole around.
The boat launch is the first left after the big condo complex ( couple hundred yards)
After you turn in, I suggest taking a right turn at the bottom of the little hill, as you enter the large parking area. After you enter the big parking area at the bottom of the little hill, the all season boat launch is to the boat left, and the summer season boat launch is to the right. Summer boat launch is a long ways from the water right now, so little if any traffic down that way.
    Have fun on your trip.
    Soup.

Thank you...we rolled just a bit past, to Robson...the Lions Head pub...they okay'd parking in their lot..and here we are, deer trotting by this morning.

    Love their deep fried pickles....

  • Have a good trip Gary - sounds like fun.

Oh and make sure not to cross various lines on a map - according to politicians license plates begin shedding virus’s’z immediately upon leaving um town? or is it health region? Or is it province?

    Anyway it begins immediately...
  • I wish I could join you! Even to Penticton would be nice!
Think you are going to run into nasty weather?
Have a good trip! Stay safe!
