Just in the planning stage
Headed to Alaska again this Summer. Leaving later in the season for a change. Should be in Alaska in Mid August and this trip will involve traveling thru Jasper and going up to Dawson City, then TOW Highway/ Fairbanks/ Denali/ Denali Highway/ Valdez and then work our way driving to Vancouver. Then a week or so at Tofino and then head home through northern USA.
Last trip we did the Dempster and went over to Homer. This time we are changing things up a bit. We are using the same truck and trailer. The trailer is an oldie but a goodie.
Like others have said the MilePost and Mike and Terri Church's books are great. Both have there advantages. Those who like to dry camp and stay out of the RV Parking Lots will really like Church's guide.
DW and I much prefer the roughing it. We found that an hour or so every few days at a visitor Center was all the internet we needed. Our generator and a go stock of DVD's satisfied my need for TV. If anyone has any questions we have a wealth of experience from our 2015 trip. Everyone have a great Christmas
