I seen the May 1 emergency order in effect for practically all the zoned areas for Alaska regarding the closed king salmon fishing....
Subsistence fishing for king salmon will not open until June 1 in the Glennallen and Chitina subdistrict areas, as there will be a maximum two king limit for subsistence fishing...
Chitina subdistrict will only be permitted for a one week period and permanently close for kings June 7.....
Glennallen subdistrict will be open for the two king limit for subsistence fishing thru July 15.....
All Yukon River drainage tribes are permanently closed the entire year thru Dec 31 for retaining any kings - including all subsistence fishing.....
However my native friends in Circle living off the land always say.....it starts getting dark in August !
I feel for you lakeside....unless you can get a subsistence permit, or fly in fish in some other region or go out in the ocean...you might be out of luck unless the restrictions are lifted for the general areas.
