Kingman AZ to Ely NV

Saturday 04/16/16 we are traveling from Kingman AZ to Ely NV. We are pulling a travel trailer with our pick-up and my wife is driving a U-HAUL. (We are moving to Boise Idaho)
I would like a easy overnight near Ely not further north. South a little would be good too. This is long enough for us for a day.
ALSO because my pick-up has only a 200 mile range we need some advise on gasoline on that route.
I tried the Prospector Casino RV park near Ely and they do not take reservations and I don't want to get that far and have no place to park for the night.
We are OK with a parking lot or Rest Stop it is just for a little sleep and back on the road.

Any help is appreciated

  • Fuel up or top off in Tonopah if you are traveling via hwy 6. There is a large RV friendly station north end of Tonopah.

Tonopah to Ely is 118 miles of no services, facilities, or towns of any kind.
  • There is also another RV park north of Ely about 2 miles on the right hand side of US 93. I doubt that you will have a problem getting into Prospector unless it is late. You do know to get off US 93 and take 318 then back to US 93 at Ely. It will save you some miles and a couple of pulls. Excellent road that we twice yearly to and from Twin Falls.

If you can't get into the casino, there is a KOA just south of Ely which shouldn't be too expensive. If you have a smart phone, download the app "rvparky" and it will give you places you can spend the night.

2X on the above. Can't miss the KOA.
When we were out there, it seemed gas stations were really spread out.
Don't pass a good opportunity to fill up.
