Kitwanga Cafe

Question

I was just in today and can report that the cafe is open and pounding out the homemade goodies. Pies, cakes, soups...all the usual suspects. No burgers or fries tho. The lady says she doesn't have a ventilation system that would pass inspection for a flat top and fryer.

Just an FYI for those heading up BC 37 from highway 16.

Is the place you are talking about the PetroCanada station located on the corner at the intersection of Hwy 37, the Cassiar hwy, Dease Lake Hwy or whatever? Or is the café in the village? We stopped at the gas station/convenience store/restaurant in 2011 and found the food to be good and reasonable in price. It appeared to be the local community center as well.

Great photo opps there in Kitwanga, as you know. This one of the church and bell tower, I enjoy.

Morning Joe...I was referring to the cafe that is in the village itself. There is a small community campground, school, church, gas station and the cafe, all in close proximity. Called the Kitwanga Cafe...last year it was Mindy's.
