Las Vegas to B.C.

Ok folks, you've not failed me yet! Here's one that may require some Canadian input. We're going from Vegas to the lower mainland in B.C. Not looking to sight see or doddle. What would be the easiest, most efficient path of least resistance? Thanks in advance for any and all input!:)
  • Time of year?
    395 to Lakeview, 31 to 97 to I90 to I5
Or I10? To LA, I5 north
  • I would suggest 95 to I-80 then west to I-5. We go to Susanville then Weed from Reno, more scenic than the interstates and we are not in a hurry.
  • Thanks very much for the input everyone!
Looks like a good one romore! Could you suggest any good overnight campgrounds along the way? Cheers!

That's funny. You asked for a least problematic route with no dawdling, and chose exactly the opposite.

I haven't made any choice yet. Still checking options.:D
I hope you're OK with that.
  • Us93 north from LV to Idaho, I84 west to Oregon, I82 to I90 to I405, I5 to the border. Or even US97 to the border, and BC3 to the Lower Mainland - that avoids Seattle.
  • I-5 is getting pretty used up by the semi trucks--rough and at times congested with big rigs.
As far as driving large cities (Sac, Portland, Seattle), don't do them during rush hour. Have fun, be careful, and enjoy the ride.
