As others have said, 95 is a good road and an easy drive. A few small towns along the way with reduced speeds and often local police checking. Tonopah is probably the best place to fuel up if needed. Its about 1/2 way. There is a decent sized Chevron towards the North end of town that you can get an RV in & out fairly easily.
395 will be more scenic, but there are some pretty decent grades & a few curvy spots in the road. 395 has a lower speed limit (55 mph in CA if towing). Lone Pine, Bridgeport, Bishop, are all pretty neat places to stop & stretch your legs if time permits.
