Powerstoke...you know, I have never seen the question of CDN's into the US with a gun. I do know that the US has the same dim view of undeclared weapons as their CDN counter-parts.
It really makes no-never-mind what anyone says on an Internet Forum. You do have to make some phone calls and get the right info. Both US and CDN for your return.
You asked who to contact? The border offices in the locations you will be crossing would be the place. And ask the name of the person you are talking to and write it down.
