We will be driving the Oregon coast next week from south to north and would like restaurant recommendations.Good fish places would be a priority but not absolutely necessary. There in nothing wrong with a good steak in large quantities either.

Bandon, Oregon -----Wheelhouse Restaurant........best crab louise EVER... at least ...LEAST 1 lb crab on the salad!!!! Oh -- we were just there a few weeks ago......:)

If you're looking for breakfast, you can't go wrong with Pig-n-Pancake. They have several locations on the coast.

Fish and Chips: Bowpicker, AstoriaClick HereSausage and German Food: Honey Bear Campground, Gold Beach

Oregon resturants:While not the fanciest resturant in Oregon, Moe's in Cannon Beach serves a good bowl of clam chowder.

We just got back from a trip on the OR coast. Coastal Living Magazine did an article on the best seafood on the OR coast, which a friend of ours wrote and photographed, and they chose Crazy Norwegian, in Port Orford as the best.As we parked the MH there and we got out to have lunch, a car parked across the road from us and a guy got out and said: Ron, is that you? We had sailed together for ~15 years, and had lost track of each other. We ate together at Crazy N, which was great, but he recommended a new restaurant just south of there in an art gallery that looked magnificent. I would have preferred to eat there.We also stayed at the marina at Winchester Bay and ate at a floating restaurant at the SE corner of the marina which was great. We also bought Dungeness Crab from a fish market at the N side of the marina which was great. It killed me to pay $32 for 2 cleaned crab, when I catch them on the beach in front of our house..but we had a need.Best Fish n Chips

The Salty Dog in Waldport. The calamari is great, the rest of the food was pretty darn good too. Little hole in the wall place on the bay.

On our visits to the OR Coast - if we don't eat out at any other place we do get to Tidal Raves. They have enlarged the place over the years and we always reserve well in advance to get a window table - will be sunny on you but nice. Depends on time of year but can see whales as well.

Lincoln City - Kjyllos(sp?) is always good. Located right on the D river and ocean side for a nice view. Always good food. Love the Marion-berry cobbler is always superb too!

Tidal Raves is excellent. Enjoy

Hey, I note on one of the menu's from above that there is a burger "steak" for $17 but has "special seasonings" and "grilled to perfection". Does not say the size. :-)
