Likely, CA to Verdi, NV
Leave in the morning and was looking at Giggle - uh, Google - maps for the 395. They say take A3 to cut the corner at Standish. But they are not towing!

- A-3 is they way we always go towing or not. Dick

- After you make your left turn from A3 onto 395 their is a nice rest area about 2 to 3 miles on the left ( Honey Lake Rest Area ) easy in and out.
- A-3 from Standish to Janesville (shortcut), is a better road than standish to Johnstonville.

- Rural 2-lane, shortcut back to 395. Easy drive.
