I feel funny asking this, but I have never been on the road down from Lake Chelan to US 97 and will be doing it in a 40' DP towing,coming from Winthrop where I scored a site during the blues festival ...

Thanks for the good replies. Gotta go to Lake Chelan for the wife and the Ginko is for me and I'm also planning on the old highway to Cle Elum from Ellensburg for the heck of it.Also thanks for the hint on the wind farm.
Thinking about heading up to Slate Peak from Winthrop, but it'll be solo cuz I already know that the wife will not want to go up that road in a vehicle of any kind. Actually the trip up isn't bad, it's the trip down. Just want to see how the trip is in the Jeep Liberty. Hah. There's a couple of Youtube videos on doing it.
