What would be the most RV friendly route, meaning to avoid hairpin turns, on the above route.

Take I-94 west to Billings and I-90 west to Laurel. At Laurel you will see oil refinery on left as approaching. Take 310 south through Bridger. Fuel up at Maverik just north of Bridger. Cheaper than WY. South out of Bridger take right to 72,goes through Belfry. 72 turns into 120. There is a small pass before cody. To Bypass pass take 294 east to 14A then sout to Cody. I would take the pass on 120 to bypass construction on 14A just north of Cody. Just farmland for trip to Cody. Except for small pass on 120. It is staight not that steep.No I don't own Maverik. LOL. I take trip every couple weeks for dr appointments and shopping in Billings. We live on a ranch in Powell, WY.Railroad bridge south of Laurel is 14 ft. No worries.

90 west to 89 south and in through Gardiner doesn't have any real difficult issues, iirc.

In terms of curves the only route into Yellowstone that should be of any concern is Beartooth Pass, US212 Billings to Red Lodge to the NE entrance. But even on that the curves aren't any tighter than a city corner or freeway cloverleaf. It's the long climb up, and not quite so long down the otherside that is main concern to most RVs.But the gentlest grades would be I90 on to Billings and Livingston, and US89 to the park, or Belgrade and US191 to West Yellowstone.Cody to the east entrance doesn't have tight curves, but has more of a climb than the north entrances. Many people coming from the east cross the Big Horn Mtns on US16, and continue to the park via Cody.

For starters, the battlefield is on the Crow Indian Reservation in Montana - not Cody, Wyoming. Buffalo Bill lost the battle at Little Big Horn. Take Exit 510 off of I-90. The entrance to the battlefield is right there. To continue on to YNP, get back on I-90 to exit 298. Go south on US 191 directly into West Yellowstone, MT.
