Little road trip

Sep. 2016 we are leaving Alaska on a little road trip. Plan on going east through Canada and would like to see some of Canada's sights. Off the beaten path is fine, time does not matter as long as we are south bound on the east coast before winter hits. Any recommendations are much appreciated. Our return we plan on staying south and working are way west. Hit the west coast and return north to Alaska. Thanks

We have done every state west of the Mississippi on motorcycle, now that we are retired we'll try something new. Spend part of the winter traveling the lower 48. Spend a month in Hawaii then back to Alaska. ??

  • Once into Canada keep turning left onto any paved road that is not a dead end. That ought to keep you off the beaten path.

Leaving AK in September you may find weather forcing a south turn sooner than you want. Catching the fall colours in the Maritimes would be nice but that would be late Setember/early October. By November things are getting chilly as far down at the Mid Atlantic states.
  • We like the Fundy National Park. Stay at the Headquarters CG, you can walk to the village of Alma. But, it's all uphill on the way back.

The Bay of Fundy is very interesting.

    Enjoy your 'little' road trip.
