I recall the only stop we did at Los Barriles, we were very excited about getting a northern style hamburger. It was so good! But we were camped at Las Frailes and since we did not have a beautiful blue water capable motor boat, we were never going to entertain staying in the vicinity of LB. For that matter, owning real property is stifling in itself and we know that wheels are made round so vehicles cannot be planted, but must be turned to fulfill their raisin d'etre. We follow that criteria to this day. Baja has many, many beautiful beaches and although I find it so, they will not entice me to return unless I can swim comfortably, go with really good friends, or anticipate great hiking. The problem is with the time of year when we want to travel, the winter. Where I live is also beautiful but I can only leave that behind in winter when the weather is wet and dreary. Baja is warm in some places even in early December, but generally it's too cold. If you did buy at LB one could visit at that time of the year when the weather was better. Leave the colder times for others. But that's not me, personally.
