Yeah. that is why you NEVER see a trailer truck on the side getting a ticket. Yeah RIGHT. You see it a lot, and every one of them have a Radar Detector. They work some but are not 100 percent effective. Much like a condom. Good to have, But don't bet your life on it.
The one difference between my truck and RV vs an 18 wheeler is that it is not against the law for me to run with radar but it is illegal for a trucker to have radar. Your right, condoms are like Radar Detectors, if you buy a cheap one, it is not going to be %100 effective:):):)
what has it being against the law for a driver to have a Bird Dog got to do with it? Do you REALLY believe the drivers turn off the Bird Dogs just because they cross a state line where it is illegal to use one? If so. You are living in a fantasy world. And BTW. Most drivers have State of the Art Bird Dogs. It is just that the Highway Patrol knows it. And they know how to get around them.
Often they don't turn on the Radar until it is too late to slow down. And your Dog won't pick up a unit that is turned off. Eve if it says it will. And truly. IF the officer hits you with a lazer speed detector. All your Bird Dog will tell you. Is you have been caught.
