The road is fine. Crossing the border is no problem, just go slow. Also do not speed and come to a complete stop at the stop signs when going thru Sonoyta. Watch the topes and watch the speed south of town as it is pretty low way out.
Have to dog papers handy just in case. Sometimes they ask and sometimes not. We have never been ask for passports going in but you will need them coming out. Going in, they wanted to see registration for the tow car.
We got boarded in Mexico going out but it really nothing to worry about.
