Mattole Rd. (Lost Coast Highway, King Range) California

Has anyone traveled Mattole Rd. (Lost Coast Rd.) south from Ferndale to Lighthouse Rd., then to the Mattole Beach campground? Comments on the road condition and "driveability" for a small class C? TIA...

I drove that road in 2007 and don't suppose it has changed much. Narrow and a bit bumpy but not too bad. Spectacular scenery.

It was extremely windy in the campground and along the beach. Most vehicles were those of backpackers, near restrooms in the photos, or picknickers in the campground. I think I was the only person who spent the night at the camp. Beautiful place, great beachcombing, and I'd go there again in a heartbeat.
