Mattole Rd. (Lost Coast Highway, King Range) California

Has anyone traveled Mattole Rd. (Lost Coast Rd.) south from Ferndale to Lighthouse Rd., then to the Mattole Beach campground? Comments on the road condition and "driveability" for a small class C? TIA...

The Google street view car has been down it. Looks like the above description is accurate. I've never been on that road (or on that part of the coast at all) but it is now on my to-do list after looking at it on Google.
