Thanks Tequila!
Jesus' sister wants to visit her cousin in Culiacan who is in the hospital and not expected to survive. Adriana apparently lives in Cuitzeo, Mich. The bus lines are refusing to issue single ticket transportation. insisting upon travel to Durango then down the autopista to Villa Union, then Mazatlan north to Culiacan. It looks like a three day expensive detour.
Here are my communications from my partner, Gabriel:
1)
The route Guadalajara-Nogales is already open.
So, we can mention this info coming from first hand.
For the time that our Airstream caravan passes by our people will not even remember what the name of the hurricane was.
2)
It is 9:20 p.m. local time, I am on the highway 15D passing through the zone where the hurricane Willa just hit 2 days ago.
This is Tecualilla. Very close to Escuinapa. I have seen heavy machinery working on the road and some patrols with their lights on. Sometimes traffic goes slower but it flows in a normal way
3)
The governor of Sinaloa State, José Rosas Suspiro declares that the highway Durango-Mazatlan is completely open. (actually it was briefly closed only when Willa was passing through). No landslides, so no issues at this point that may affect our caravan projects.
As usual, I prefer to re-check the info before.
