Pappaone, reading your earlier inquiry about I70/I80 heading toward Indiana, I suspect you are referring to Springfield, Indiana instead of Missouri? I agree, US 4/59 to St. Joe from Topeka would be my preference then.

You would be correct. Live in KC. The darling daughter lives in Topeka. We camp at Perry Lake frequently and have traveled 4 as far N as 16 hwy. 4/59 is almost a "super 2" with 1/2 lane gravel or paved shoulders.

4/59 is a good way to go or if you prefer Interstates I-70 E to I-435 N to I-29 N will do as well.

I live about 100 miles from St. Joe. If it were me, I would either take 75 north to 36 or take I-70 to I-35 although that would involve tolls.

59 will be OK if you aren't in a hurry.

Humm, it might help to know what road you are inquiring about.

In spite of what the rest of the country believes, there are many roads and highways in the center part of the USA. Believe it or not there are even cities with more than one stop light. Just watch out for the cows running freely around.......:E
