We have had techs connect their laptop computers to our engine to study the history. They could tell when we overheated and how many RPMs we pulled. I do not know what else they can do but watching the tech work the computer I think there is a lot they can see of the history. So if the history shows certain things happen can they not see indications of the engine not running properly and certain specific things that lead them to diagnose that those indicators mean a lot of regeneration and other specific things that lead them to diagnose improper fuel use? I have no idea. But I do know I have seen them hook their computer to our 400 Cummins and it tells them a ton of stuff about the history of the engine. I do not claim to be an EXPERT at any of this. I think anyone who has a newer engine and exhaust system should be asking a lot of questions to try to get facts and specific details about using improper fuel. I do not need to know because we have a 2006 and we are keeping it.
