The use of Mexican LSD fuel in my 2013 Duramax HAS NOT increased the frequency of regens while pulling my 5th. I log all regens on my truck as closely as I can. The frequency of regens is highly dependent on the type of driving and load being carried/pulled. Back home,using ULSD and where the majority of my use is as a daily driver, my average between regens is 500 to 600 kms, but when pulling my 5th wheel trailer, this will increase to 850 to 950 kms.
On my trips through Mexico, using Mexican LSD fuel, my regens do NOT change significantly while pulling my 5th, nor are any codes displayed. I DO NOT use Mexican LSD fuel in my vehicle as a daily driver once I am settled at my destination in Mexico. Local taxis are cheap and plentiful.
