Is it cheaper to get Mexican auto Ins. at the Visa/check in spot going

- Sounds like the consensus is that it's less expensive on line and you can take the time decide exactly what coverage you want.
Personal choice! Welcome to Mexico! - I've always done my insurance via the internet. you can compare prices easily there.
- On line is definitely better and less expensive, and we too recommend Lewis and Lewis.
The base rates are set by the Mexican Government, so the price differences are for the services provided and the amount of profit they want to make. - I personally think going online to Lewis and Lewis or Adavis or Baja Bound is your best bet
