It is common to find STEVIA in packets
"Contains 15% Stevia and 85% sugar!"
Mexican labeling system works just like in the US. Proportionally higher percentage ingredients are listed first.
Mix molasses in with Stevia (100%) for Brown sugar effect.
Diabetics should be aware that Mexican soft drinks by law contain far more sugar sucrose than USA soft drinks that contain corn syrup "fructose". Agave syrup mentioned by Navegator is fructose (fruit sugar). The body sugar reaction between fructose and sucrose is not some life-or-death difference, but for me, one 850ml sucrose drink may raise my blood sugar from 110 to 210 while fructose seems to level it out at 180.
