I know many say its safe to travel in Mexico but if your ever kidnapped by the cartels or anyone down there or beaten than robbed than you will wish you have never gone, for me I will keep my travels north of the Mexico border.
Besides I travel with a gun and in Mexico that is automatic jail time expect for the hundreds of thousands of drug cartels, they get a free pass..
Wow, having lived here for more than 30 years, this is all news to me.
So I can travel down there with my gun, is that what you are saying, what about that marine who spent about 5 months in jail for the same thing and took almost a act of congress to get him free..
Never said that. I was referring to your first paragraph. You know little or have been mis-informed by news media.
Although one fact most people don't know is that a Mexican or permanent Mexican resident like myself, can own a firearm for self-protection at home.
Many Mexicans own guns for hunting and that is another permit. We have many shooting ranges around our area where people go and do target practice. Hunting deer is very popular here in the winter season.
Being informed about Mexico and the reality is as important as knowing about other North American countries and their laws and customs.
Many Mexicans believe that all neighbors to the north are drug addicts and kill many people because guns are so readily available. That is not a true statement but media and internet promotes misinformation.
I hope this helps clear up any misundertanding.
