Having been a trucker in the US I can tell you that a parking lot full of trucks is no clue as to whether the food is any good. Truckers park where there is room to park. Sometimes there is no choice where there are few parking options. But if you see an area with lots of available truck parking and there are places with no trucks and ones with many trucks I think you can guess which has the good food. Many truck stops in the US are to be avoided because all they know how to do is deep fry everything - which some truckers seem to love - but is among the most unhealthy things you can eat.
None of which has to do with tolls and toll roads. We pay the tolls because we are fortunate to have the funds to do so. Not everyone can. Perhaps no one knows or understands the real relationship between the toll road companies and the Gov't??
