I have done Flint area to Sevierville area in 9.5 hours and that's doing it in my car not towing a trailer. Your travel times in my opinion are a little off, but fortunately there are campgrounds all along the way off of the highway. Pull off into any one of them when your ready to. Are you making reservations at any CG's or just hoping for an opening? Pigeon Forge area can be full up after school is out so you may want to reserve something there. I can give you reccomendations in the area if you want. If you have never been to the Smokies area before there is so much to do for the kids you would have to work to be bored.
