Is the weather normal for there this time of year? We're heading up there next summer......would LOVE to be there when the mosquitoes have headed south!!!!!! :) :)
Typically Septembers have sunny days and cool nights. Last year, the trees turned colour sooner than this year. Some willows have started to go yellow but the poplars and aspens are still mostly green, and it is already September 7th!
Mosquitos don't head south, unfortunately. They just drop from the air in the cold and usually don't get going again until the next spring when the eggs hatch in the warm spring air.
September can also mean frost overnight. Some snow on mountaintops, sometimes on the highway overnight. Again, not this year yet. But we had a late spring ... maybe all the seasons are a few weeks behind this year!
:) Thanks for the info......and I knew mosquitoes don't go south for the winter... it's a joke my GF and I have......because every time we camp together, we seem to have a record # of skeeters. She made the comment one time that she swore they came from EVERYWHERE just to be at our camp. :)
