there is a truck route at exit 27 after you cross the bridge and before the tunnel. At the end of the exit, bear right onto US90-98 TRUCK. Do not continue straight onto US98 as there is a tunnel there that won't work. US 90/98 truck route will take you to I-165N, then to I-65 north. The other option you already have. I-10 to I-65. I think it's only about 10 miles farther and may even be faster depending on traffic.
